ADVANCED FREEDIVER
The Level 2 teaches you to become a Freediver!
We expand upon everything learned on Level 1 to include advanced equalisation techniques, specialised pool training and of course, more diving!
Level 2 is a little more intensive, super fun and aimed at helping you to begin diving deeper, where you will experience the best part of a freedive, the freefall.
Over three days, you will refine the technique and skills you need to safely dive as deep as 30m on a single breath.

Requirements
IN THE POOL
50m Dynamic (underwater swim with fins)
35m Dynamic No Fins (underwater swim without fins/breast stroke style)
Static breath hold of 2:30 mins
Demonstrate rescue skills and safe buddying techniques
IN THE OCEAN
Dive to minimum of 20m (max. 30m) with good finning technique, using Frenzel equalization
Experience your Freefall in the open water
Dive to 15m without fins in the open water
Demonstrate good buddy technique between 10 and 15m in the open water
Perform self rescues from 15m
YOUR CERTIFICATION
The course price is 6.895.000 IDR
This includes your certification (upon completion), 3 days of diving in our world-class facilities and all equipment. To add accomodation, see our Diving + Accomodation packages.
Your Level 2 or Wave 2 certification will be recognised worldwide, and will allow you to continue freediving at any other school or agency.
frequent QUESTIONS
Can I start level 2 if I don’t have level 1?
If you already have some diving experience but no official cert, you will still start with Level 1 to finesse your technique to the right standard.
Learning the theory will fill in any gaps in your knowledge, and safety drills will allow you to dive with the confident that you can face any unexpected situation, and look out for other divers around you.
All freediving schools require a minimum of Level 1 qualification for divers to join their trainings and to take further courses to ensure everyone has the proper knowledge and skills to dive safely.
How do I get to gili Trawangan?
It’s easy to get here from Bali, Lombok, or from the other Gili Islands — but please note, you will have to arrive on Gili Trawangan the day before the course starts (we start at 8am!). Check out our blog post here for travel options and let us know if we can help.
I had eq problems on my level 1
If you passed your Level 1 you can join Level 2 and we will spend plenty of time on equalisation. If you haven’t passed yet and you didn’t do your course with Freedive Gili, contact us to book in an EQ coaching session with one of our instructors. There are plenty of exercises and tricks we can try together to get you ready for Level 2.

The course price includes 3 days of diving, all rental equipment and your certification (upon completion): 6.895.000 IDR (per person).
