GETTING TO

GILI TRAWANGAN

Bali to gili Trawangan fast boats

The easiest way to get to Gili Trawangan from Bali is to use a “fast boat” ferry, which depart Bali every morning. All these services offer pick-up from your hotel in Bali (generally between 6.30-7am) with a private car or shuttle to one of these harbours:

Serangan Harbour or Sanur Harbour — 2.5hrs

Best for anyone staying in the South of Bali - Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu, Sanur, or near the airport in Denpasar.

Padang Bai — 1.5 hrs trip.

Best if you are in North/East Bali, Ubud, Amed, or if you want a shorter boat ride. Padangbai is around 1.5 hours drive from Bali International Airport.

We recommend Blue Water Express or Eka Jaya Fastboat as the safest and most reliable options. Bookings can be made via their websites.

BALI TO LOMBOK DOMESTIC FLIGHTS

If you prefer to skip the ferry ride, or you arrive into Bali airport in the afternoon and would like to arrive on Gili T without spending a night in Bali, you can fly domestically from Denpasar Airport (Ngurah Rai) to Lombok Airport (Priya), with Lion Air, Wings & Garuda airlines.

The flight is only 20 minutes, followed by a taxi to Bangsal Harbour.

Lombok Airport is also open for some international arrivals, so it’s possible to find connecting flights from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

BANGSAL HARBOUR to GILI T

Bangsal is the main harbour for boats from Lombok to the Gili Islands. You can take the 25 minute public boat to Gili T harbour, or we can help book you a private speed boat which will come straight to our beach (contact us for details).

GILI T HARBOUR TO FREEDIVE GILI

Freedive Gili and our accomodation, The Yoga Garden, are located a short walk from the Gili Trawangan harbour.

Walk north along the main street for about 400m and you can find us on the left. The street is paved with brick and should you have extra baggage, you can also take a horse cart from the harbour exit.

Getting around gili trawangan

One of the many joys of this island is that there are no motorised vehicles! No traffic jams, no red lights - so rent a bicycle, have a wander, or take a ride on a horse and cart.

The whole island can be walked around in less than two hours!
